There are some processed foods you can't avoid. I drink orange juice, buy a little butter and eat cereal. All of those are processed foods. Even salt and pepper too. What I mean is that I don't eat heavily processed foods that I cannot make for myself with basic ingredients. It doesn't take long to make a tasty and wholesome meal in a few minutes.
Neither do I eat fast food, which is usually very fattening and unhealthy. You may have noticed the "KFC Consumer Warning" to the left of this post, which will tell you some truths about the fast food industry. Click it and see.

I am not a fastfood eater too. I rather go home and cook my own meal. We can make sure that the food that we're eating is clean and healthy. ( we never know if they really wash the vegetables and other ingredients well, or if they are using the fresh one )
Hi Living Frugally,
If you want to cut out cereal, I have a few friends that make their own by going to the bulk food store and purchasing what they need to make their own muslix.
Also, Kosher salt is not as processed as regular salt. You don't really need iodized salt in your diet now that salt is in so many foods and we have vitamins. Humans only need a few molecules of iodine a year.
Hope that helps you minimize your intake of processed food even more!
Thanks all for your valuable comments.
Ugh and I ate KFC for lunch today :(
I had a very bad triglyceride level before and I can assure you that eating KFC too frequently (among with other fats and sweets), really contributed very well :)
I used to live on KFC when I was younger.
I am glad I have changed things in my life and fast food is no longer part of it.
Fresh foods that you buy and prepare yourself are absolutely the best thing for you. It does take a little more time, from shopping to preparation, but it's worth it in the end.
Years ago I used to eat fast food almost every day. Now, it's a once in a while thing. I'm healthier and lighter for it!
I'm certainly working on eating better now... I want to age well, and that can't happen if I don't take health into account now. And as much as I know I feel great from foods in their relatively natural state, I love baked goods. Bah...
Luckily, fast food has little interest to me. That saves my waistline and my wallet.
To much eat fast food, will kill us... :)
There's no bigger deterrent to eating fast food than finding out how it's made / what's in it. So if you're trying to lose weight or save money, just look into that, lol.
i am not into fast foods and eating out too, for often times or a lot of the times, i always feel i cook better and my food tastes better :) . i often find the foods outside salty and greasy.
